Volunteer

The Deposit Foundation would not be able to function without the help of our volunteers. The more help we receive the more we can give back to our community. There are numerous programs and services you can get involved with throughout the year.

If interested, stop in our office for an application, or download one from the links above. Return it to our office in person or by mail, and we will get you started.

If you have any questions, please stop into our office or give us a call.

Become a volunteer driver!!

Our Transportation Program runs on volunteer drivers. Though we provide the vehicle, gas, and insurance, it is the driver's job to get the clients to their vital appointments.

Such appointments include, cardiology, chemotherapy, dental, orthopedic, primary care, court, social services, and many more.

As a volunteer, you tell us when you're generally free, and we will call you when we have a ride. We will tell you the time and locations of the scheduled appointments, and you decide whether or not you can take the ride.

Drivers must have a valid driver's licence, a clean driving record, and a friendly manner.

If interested please fill out a volunteer driver application, or give us a call if you have further questions. If approved we will go through a short orientation to get you familiar with the van and our procedures.

Volunteer at our monthly

Friendship Table meal

Once a month we provide a free community meal held at the First United Methodist Church. We currently have a regular volunteer cook, however there is plenty to help out with.

Volunteers can help set up tables, serve food, and/or clean up after the meal. The great thing about this is that not only do you get free delicious food, but you also get to meet more people.

For more information, give us a call.

Volunteer for Toys for Tots

From November to December help give a little holiday cheer to children and teens in the Deposit community by:

  • Shopping for gifts:

Help hunt down those toys! Shopping begins the second week of November and goes through the first week of December.

  • Sorting through donations:

This starts shortly after the shopping begins. A schedule will be made by the program coordinator.
